DURATION: 25 days ADT

DESIGNATOR: 1665 (open to SSRG and STCW-qualified SELRES)

RANK: O3-O6

CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Secret

UNIFORM: Coveralls/ NWU

REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION: Afloat Watch Assessment Team (AWAT) comprising of one (1) O-6 SSO (STCW Unlimited Master Mariner), two (2) O3-O5 SSOs (STCW Unlimited Master/Chief Mate) and two (2) CA/RC SWO Fleet OODs. SSOs will participate in two-day Surface Warfare indoctrination prior to embarking assigned vessel(s) with mission of Bridge Resource Management assessment/ observation. O-6 AWAT lead will brief AAR to CO prior to disembark and provide debrief to COMNAVSURFOR senior panel. Prior Navy surface experience preferred but not required. SSOs with 2nd Mate Unlimited and piloting vessels as full time employment will be considered. Dates subject to change basis vessel schedules.
